The Foundation at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital announces a generous gift of $28,500 from Professional Emergency Medicine Management (PEMM) to support LCMHS's Trauma Center Injury Prevention and Community Outreach Program. This program includes injury prevention education and outreach programs to the community, such as Stop the Bleed classes, the Sudden Impact program for high school students, and an annual Trauma Symposium for all medical professionals involved with the provision of trauma care.
"Our sponsorship is more than just a gesture, it's a fundamental expression of our recognition that these programs are an essential component for the safety and wellbeing of our community," says Dr. Jon Gray, Emergency Medicine Physician with PEMM. "Every act of giving has the potential to create a ripple effect of positive change. We believe our contribution will make a tangible difference in people's lives."
Dr. Gray is also the Medical Director of Emergency Medicine at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and advocate for The Foundation.
PEMM is committed to helping enhance services and programs throughout the health system, but especially in addressing the needs and quality care of emergency services and injury prevention.
"The health system was founded on the idea of a community-funded healthcare facility and The Foundation continuously offers opportunities for business partners and residents to participate in quality care at Lake Charles Memorial Health System," says Sol Halliburton, Executive Director of the Foundation. "We appreciate the live-saving care that PEMM provides, and that dedication echoes through their support of the Trauma Fund."
