The Community Training Center of Lake Charles Memorial Health System manages the American Heart Association instructors aligned with our training center who teach various forms of CPR (BLS/Basic Life Support, Heartsaver CPR & AED, Heartsaver First Aid, Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED, Family & Friends).

Hands On/Skills Testing
The Lake Charles Memorial Hospital Professional Development Department provides Hands On Skills Testing after completion of the American Heart Association Heart Code, Part 1 online portion. Please call the Professional Development Department to schedule a 30 minute skills practice and testing session with an AHA BLS Instructor. The hands/skills check off session fee for CPR is $30.00. Participants must bring their online certificate (paper copy) of completion to the skills testing session in order to participate. Skills check off testing should be completed within 60 days from the completion of the online portion.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of American Heart Association materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.
