Meet Gurjot Basra, MD
Dr. Gurjot Basra is a board certified rheumatologist. Dr. Basra received her medical degree from Mata Gujri Memorial Medical College in India. She then came to the United States where she completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where she received the award for Outstanding 2nd Year Resident and was named a Top 5 intern.
She went on to complete her rheumatology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, during which time she received
additional training in musculoskeletal ultrasound through the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists (USSONAR). She is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology through the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Basra is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology. Much of her research has been published in medical journals such as The Rheumatologist and Arthritis and Rheumatism.
