Meet Lakshmi Tatineni, MD
Dr. Lakshmi Tatineni is an internal medicine physician who serves as a hospitalist at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, treating and caring for patients who are admitted to the hospital.
Dr. Tatineni is a graduate of the University of Missouri at Kansas City where she received her bachelor’s and medical degrees. She continued her medical training with an internal medicine residency at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood’s College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
In addition to her medical training, Dr. Tatineni has served in a number of leadership and volunteer roles. During her residency, she served as Chief Resident, founded the Distinguish Honor Society at HCA Houston Healthcare to celebrate volunteerism and continued education of medical residents, and served as GME Outreach Committee Chair with the goal of educating the public on the importance of preventative and primary care. She is an HCA Senior Leader Workshop Alumni and a nominee for the Richard Garcia Award. She has volunteered her time to several healthcare non-profit organizations, including HCA Internal Medicine Outreach, Sojourn Clinic, Partners in Health, HALO, St. Jude and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Dr. Tatineni also served as a medical officer in the rank of Captain in the US Army Missouri National Guard.
Dr. Tatineni is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine.
