About This Location

Diabetes Education is a service available to Memorial patients who have diabetes. The mission of Diabetes Education is to empower patients through self-management. This is done through education and support for diabetes patients to increase their health and avoid the serious complications associated with diabetes.

At Memorial Diabetes Education, there is a diabetes educator, nurse educator, and registered dietitian who works closely with your doctor to provide you with a tailored meal plan and exercise program. Our team also provides additional resources for families to help them support you as you learn how to manage a life with diabetes.

The Diabetes Education office is located on the sixth floor of Lake Charles Memorial Hospital on Oak Park Blvd. The sixth floor can be accessed by using the elevators on the south side of the hospital, located across from the Wishing Well Gift Shop.

The Diabetes Education Support Group meetings will be held at the former office location at 2615 Enterprise Blvd, Suite B.
