About This Location
Located on Nelson Rd, Lake Charles Memorial Internal Medicine offers primary and wellness care for adults. Internal Medicine is a full spectrum of care offering treatment to complicated medical problems, as well as prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of chronic diseases.
The difference between internal medicine and general practice or family practice is that internal medicine typically treats adults in the prevention, diagnosis and management of disease and chronic conditions, like high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, asthma, and respiratory issues.
Your internal and primary care physicians are the best ally you can have when it comes to tracking your medical history, wellness check, cancer screenings, and a resource when you are feeling sick with the flu or respiratory infection. An internal or primary care physician is also the access point to other specialty referrals like orthopedic, cardiology, or behavioral health.
The internal office is in the same building as LCMH’s Family Medicine and Orthopedic and Sports Medicine office. The office is on Nelson Rd, between CSE Federal Credit Union and the Market Basket Shopping Center. Parking is available on the front and the right side of the building. Also located in the internal medicine office is a draw station for patients to receive blood work and other laboratory tests in one convenient location.
Hours are subject to change. Please contact your physician’s office for confirmation.
