The Lake Charles Memorial Emergency Medicine, or ER, is located on the
Oak Park Campus on 2nd Ave in Lake Charles. As the largest full-service
health system in southwest Louisiana with the most specialists, Memorial
provides board-certified emergency medicine physicians 24 hours a day,
365 days a year.

Emergency Center
Memorial's 40-bed, 26,000 sq. ft. Emergency Center includes CT and digital
x-ray technology with specialized treatment areas for trauma and critical
care, mental health, an a fast track for non-critical emergencies.
Trauma Center
Memorial is accredited by the American College of Surgeons as the only
Level III Trauma Center serving southwest Louisiana. The American College
of Surgeon’s Committee on Trauma (CoT) confirms the title of “trauma
center” to those health systems that not only provide necessary
trauma care resources, but also the entire spectrum of care to address
the needs of all injured patients from pre-hospitals phase through rehabilitation.
Primary Stroke Center
Lake Charles Memorial Hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s
Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Stroke Association’s
Heart-Check mark for Primary Stroke Certification. Memorial's TeleStroke
Program was created in partnership with Tulane Medical Center. The program
is a form of telemedicine that provides Memorial patients with enhanced
in-house stroke care and 24-hour access to Tulane Medical Center’s
