Winter Weather Update

Friday, January 17, 2025 Update

We are closely monitoring the weather conditions as freezing temperatures and potential winter weather conditions are expected in SWLA in the next week. The safety of patients, their families, and our employees is our top priority.

In addition to any Martin Luther King holiday closures, the following closures will take place across Lake Charles Memorial Health System facilities and locations:

Tuesday, January 21 Closures

• All LCMHS clinics
• All outpatient services
• All elective surgeries and procedures
• All diagnostic locations (imaging and laboratory services)

Our care team will be contacting patients to reschedule appointments and procedures.

At this time, Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for Women, and Archer Institute all remain open and operational, including the emergency department at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital on Oak Park Blvd.

We are planning to resume normal operations on Wednesday, January 22.
